An injury-time equaliser from Odense's Djilby Fall saw Fulham crash out of the Europa League in dramatic fashion at Craven Cottage.
The hosts needed a victory to secure their qualification from Group K into the last-32 of the competition alongside Dutch team FC Twente.
Goals from Clint Dempsey and Kerim Frei put the Cottagers on course as they reached the half-time interval with a two-goal cushion.
But the Danish team pulled a goal back through Hans Henrik Andreasen in the 64th minute before Fall's 93rd-minute leveller ended Fulham's hopes of emulating their 2010 run to the Europa League final after rivals Wisla Krakow beat FC Twente 2-1 to secure the second automatic qualification spot.
