Azkalroo,
When you said UCL, do you mean UFL (which gives sense to your questions)?
Some clubs are franchised-arm or owned by certain corporations (Union, Global), some are university teams (green archers, La Salle), some are from the armed forces (Army, Air Force, Navy), some are named after their sponsors (Loyola Sparks, sponsor Meralco - the electricity provider in PHI).
Unlike Europe or America, where in sporting teams are named because they are from that town or city, most teams in PHI are named after the company that owns them or their main sponsor.
I am not very clear about contracts in PHI. The UFL is a semi-pro league. My understanding of semi-pro leagues is that players have day jobs and get payed when they play football for their team. Such as Angel G for his former Third Division Regional club in spain: he works as a bus conductor / bus boy at the depot during the day (his main income) and get paid to train and play football with RC Rondo...During the off season, they don't get paid.
Similarly, Cheify's main income is from the Air Force itself. I am not sure if he gets extra bonuses from the Air Force main sponsor for playing football.
