@ren.jay, is he unable to speak of the college whom has offered him a scholarship? If so, this is highly unusual...typically U.S. students who are high school juniors or seniors are eligible for scouting, and are able to speak of potential offers...I am curious as to who these schools are who have offers out to him, mostly because may I quote you:
"Would be nice to be part of the Azkal team (U18 or U23, dont know)but we need to know soon otherwise he will be off to UK or USA after 2012. He is also chosen for US college scholarship for football through NSR."
I have a high school junior, who is currently in this position were he is finally eligible for scouting. He does not have any firm offers on the table yet, but he does have a couple of universities "engaging" him. I have seen colleges and universities make offers to high school juniors, but these scenarios are only reserved for those EXTREMELY talented players, the who's who in the youth soccer arena, typically the nations top 50...unlike basketball, American Football, or even baseball, money for soccer is a bit more scarce at your typical colleges and universities. Girls soccer tends to get more money for scholarships then boys, although this has been shifting more in the recent years with the gained popularity of the sport, here in the U.S., and of course the MLS.
I am curious as to which schools your son is getting offers from, for all of the above reasons...and because you mentioned this, I felt it was a fair question to ask...
