I think the referee has been fair so far.
Misagh pace is no match to the bigger and faster players, he is easily beaten by opponents, he looks pacy but his height makes him slow.
Azkals now seem to be in a defensive shell for the last few minutes of the game. Honestly, the Al Ahli offense seems to be without speed and guile... 87:50 PYH off and Beloya in
Full time: Philippines 3 vs 1 Al Ahli SC - finally a win for the Azkals after a series of defeats.
Final whistle and I have to say the Azkals looked much better here. Much more organized on defense in this match, but again I felt the offense of Al Ahli was not nearly as strong as Incheon, CF Internationale, or Uzbekistan. We still have worjk to do on defense, but tonight seemed to be a solid step in the right direction.
Great morale booster for Azkals.
C'mon..Al Ahli? Al Sadd sana... ;) Anyway a win is a win..congrats!

I say more friendlies like these with foreign clubs.
In my mind, we are still minnows and we need to grow a lot more (and the road a head will be long and tough).
When both Japan and S Korea were still the so called "minnows", they used to play international matches against south american clubs (specially when Japan host the FIFA Super Cup - Euro champion club vs South American club champion, these clubs play tune-up games against Japan and S Korea).
Today, Japan and S Korea are superpowers of Asia and are competitive internationally (but then again, they have the economy, the infra-structure and drive to push football development in their country 100 times over).
