Let me apologize to all the people at the TV stations who are not to blame for this, but really improvement is needed -

I would take all TV schedules for the AZKALS with a grain of salt, ie be very suspicious of published TV schedules for these sporting events. The HKG match today was scheduled to be aired on BALLS and S23 at 430PM. I arranged my work schedule at some cost to be home in time with my boys to watch. Hurried home from a meeting in Makati, turned on the TV and... no Azkals. Eventually, at 530PM I learned the match was delayed to 8PM. So, I stayed home instead of going to a colleague's despidida, ONLY TO LEARN THE MATCH COVERAGE IS NOW MOVED TO THE NEXT DAY. This is really a bad situation compounded by not even a word from the stations as to the cause of the problem. No apology for people like myself who went to the trouble to re-arrange their schedules, no explanation, just two unexplained changes when we had set aside time to do this together as a family.

It is likely some technical issue beyond anyone's control has caused this problem, and the TV station may not even to be blamed! However, it would have at least been better to have had some explanation from the station about the delays / rescheduling. I feel the stations now look very poor having not explained - I don't know now if I should EVER trust their scheduling. I certainly won't ever go to the trouble to re-arrange my work schedule.

    Quite sad, really.

I was able to watch the delayed telecast on the internet...but yes, I have to wait and wait and wait, not knowing what is the "real" time it will be shown.

Well nothings change them. Within the networks, there are still unbelievers of football. They still believe the sport is still a "minor fad" in pinas. Well, tell you what, they wouldnt do that to Manny Pacquiao fight.

Even Pacquiao figths are delayed on free TV!

There's no way for the game tomorrow vs Macau to be aired at 3PM per ABS-CBN schedule!

Schedule from Chinese Taipei Football Asso.:
    16:30 Philippine vs. Macao Live.

I went home early last Friday only to find out that the telecast is 10PM!!! Yesterday I took out my family for early dinner in anticipation of 5:30 game, I bought a couple of beer and then again.... game at around 7pm! I won't skip work this time!

The Azkals facebook page actually put the right schedule. I didn't have the same problem as you guys as I knew that the HK match was never to be broadcasted live. I even knew that the live game for CT was at 7pm and the 5:30pm was still the pre-analysis bullcrap they do. The problem with the TV networks is that they don't really confirm what time they will air the matches. People have to google their way to find out what really is right schedule.

Edit: on the facebook page the schedule look liked this.

    HK 8:30 (delayed)
    CT 5:30 (7:00pm kick-off time)

Overall, very disappointing. Is PHI going to televised SEA games events (specially football)?

i really don't understand this behaviour on the part of the tv station. in other more developed countries the schedule for sports is more or less confirmed well ahead of time so the guys can round up their mates, get the beer cold, and gather round for the big match. if stations behaved this way in the usa there would be hell to pay in a big way with massive viewer dissent. its getting so i can't even watch with my kids because they don't believe the schedule!!!
